How Can I Get Involved?

WACLV has several ways for you to assist us in Southern Nevada.

Advisory Council

The Advisory Council is a nonpartisan group of leading individuals in government, business and education who provide advice to the board in carrying out our mission to connect Las Vegas with the international community.

Home Hospitality

Whether a summer barbecue, a dinner shared with friends, or a simple family supper, these visits often lead to long-term friendships and offer a welcoming window for visitors during their time in the U.S. We offer opportunities to host anywhere from two visitors to a whole group. Meals usually take place in the evening and last about two hours. To sign up for an opportunity, please complete the brief survey below. While we can't guarantee every opportunity due to high demand, be part of this enriching international exchange. Sign up for our e-newsletter for the latest opportunities.

Interns & Volunteers

There are a number of ways that individuals can volunteer. We can work with students to develop an intern proposal and this will include one-on-one mentoring with one of our board members. We also have needs in the areas of website development, marketing, development of new programs (such as our international visitor program), grant writing, event organization and developing community relations. There are a number of programs that are offered by the World Affairs Councils of America geared towards high schools – so we have a need for high school educators that would be interested in developing these programs.

We are looking for dedicated, experienced, and goal-driven

individuals to grow WACLV.
