GET INVOLVED

There are a number of ways to be involved:
- Advisory Council – The Advisory Council is a nonpartisan group of leading individuals in government, business and education who provide advice to the board in carrying out our mission to connect Las Vegas with the international community.
- International Visitors Committee – The International Visitors Committee is currently being formed in preparation for the WACLV to become a member of the National Council of International Visitors (http://www.nciv.org/). This is a State Department program that sponsors high level international visitors to the United States to gain a better understanding of American culture.
- Interns and Volunteers – There are a number of ways that individuals can volunteer. We can work with students to develop an intern proposal and this will include one-on-one mentoring with one of our board members. We also have needs in the areas of website development, marketing, development of new programs (such as our international visitor program), grant writing, event organization and developing community relations. There are a number of programs that are offered by the World Affairs Councils of America geared towards high schools – so we have a need for high school educators that would be interested in developing these programs.
